i'll start with the doctor's appointment we had a while ago that revealed the gender of our baby. oakley was super pumped about this appointment. he had been telling us it was a "girl baby" for quite a while and was excited to find out if he was right. i took him to the grocery store to get a blue balloon and a pink balloon for the picture we would send to family revealing the gender. oakley kept saying he just needed the pink one because "that one means it's a girl." i had a strong feeling it was a girl, too, but got the blue just in case. :)
here we are right after we found out the baby is a GIRL! we are thrilled! oakley didn't quite understand the sonogram. can't blame him, as sometimes i have a hard time making out the pictures, too. ha! he said, "i want to see her right now. can she come out now?" oh, the anticipation! we can't wait to meet her!
| oakley looks thrilled to be taking this picture, doesn't he?? |
here is the picture we used to send to family
| he is going to be one awesome big brother. |
the next week, we went to the berry patch with lindsey and her girls, nora and bridget. it was so much fun! we got 2.5lb of blueberries and i think oakley ate just as many before we left. here are some pics of our outing.

then, we celebrated brian's birthday! we woke him with breakfast in bed and homemade birthday cards, then we went out to my mom's house (at the farm) to hang out for a while. we suprised him with a game of bowling with nathan, kelly and greyson, then went back to nathan and kelly's house for cake, ice cream, and spades. we had a fun day celebrating brian!
