our life in pictures

since i have been feeling like junk, i have dropped the ball in many areas of my life, including laundry, cleaning my house, and blogging.  i have recently caught myself up on the first two items, so i thought i would do so with the blogging, too.  and because i don't have hours upon hours to tell you about all of the super fun stuff we've been doing, i'm going to give you a glimpse into our lives picture-style.  from february through april, here's some of what we did!

brian and nathan took oakley and greyson to the train expo.  definitely a boys' day!

papa, nana, and aunt katie visit. 

spent the weekend with chris, amanda and maddie.  bounce u was the highlight of the trip for the kids!

this had air blowing out of it.   it was meant for a plastic baseball to float over, then you hit it with a bat.  oakley used it to cool off his face.  he kept saying, "i'm going to go blow my face off!" and would run over to it.  hilarious!

sorry these are blurry.  they were going so fast!  you can see the pure joy in their faces, though.  these two kids love playing together.  most of the trips down the slide looked like the second one, with oakley facing backwards and maddie forward.  we were laughing so hard!

getting ready for a movie

Easter weekend at matt's parents' house.  our last get-together before matt, mel, and lawson moved way too far away.   the kids colored eggs, had an egg hunt and got baskets from the easter bunny.  oh, and i was 13 weeks here.

haha!  we were trying to get the kids to pose...and trying to get maddie to squat sideways without showing her undies.  it was pretty funny, the process of getting the final picture!

 maddie turned five.  FIVE.  crazy how fast our babies are growing up.  i take a picture of her on the stairs at every birthday, and this year...well, she was very open to the idea of a photo shoot.  she said she wanted to do a lot of "poses" and then she got a little silly, making faces.  we were cracking up.  what a personality!  she's beautiful!

and i will leave you with this:  a very long tshirt, a too small hoodie and his "uncle matt" shoes.  a picture we will save for his wedding slideshow.  we love you monkey, for all the funny, random things you do and so much more!  what a great few months!
