baby girl

so, i haven't really done a "pregnancy post".  here it is.

baby's gender:  girl!!

how far along:  22 weeks

weight gain:  yes. :)  more in my first trimester than the second.  i think i've gained 13 so far.  mostly in my back end. !!

feeling:  pretty good, now that the nausea has subsided.  i am still nauseous in the evenings, but i think it's usually my body telling me to go to bed. :)  i still haven't gotten the famous "energy burst" and i don't know it will ever happen.

clothes i'm wearing:  i'm stuck between regular and maternity stuff.  it's pretty annoying, and i usually spend 30 minutes putting on and taking off stuff five times before i end up with a final outfit.

cravings:  i have more salty cravings than sweet.  like fries or salty popcorn.  i'm a little grossed out by the few taco bell cravings i've had.  i also could eat a whole watermelon in one sitting. (don't worry, i haven't done that yet!)

aversions:  i cannot use the palmers belly lotion.  i used it when i was pregnant with oakley, but the smell of it makes me sick now.  i just got some new stuff today, so hopefully it will keep me from itching my belly so much. :)  i am not a fan of chicken, this time, either.  i will eat it if it's really unhealthy and fried, but not even that often.  brian is going crazy with all of the beef or vegetarian meals i've prepared. 

movement:  she is moving all day, it seems.  mostly active when i wake in the morning and after lunch.  it's so neat to feel her move.  brian is able to feel her now, so that makes it special for him.  oakley, so far, is not patient enough to feel her kick.  we'll get there, i'm sure. :)

big brother's thoughts:  when i was reading a story to him, he was sitting in my lap and said, squirming around, "mommy, your bra is on."  i said, "what???"  he said, "your bra.  it's in my way."  i said, "that's not my bra.  what is that?" pointing to my belly.   he lifted my shirt and said, "there's a baaaaaby in there!" 
before the sonogram to reveal the gender, "it's a girl baby!"  (he was right!)
after the sonogram, "i want to see her now."
telling someone after they asked, "do you have any brothers or sisters?"  oakley said, "we are having a baby sister!"  and later that day, to adam, "know what, adam?  we are havin' a baby sister."  he is a very proud big brother.

we can't wait to meet you, baby girl!
 i will take my 22 week picture tomorrow when i'm dressed for church and actually have a little make-up on. :)
