so, today, we started to build oakley's new bed. right now, his bed is just a twin mattress on the floor. we wanted to get him used to sleeping in a bigger bed before having him sleep on one raised 2 feet off the floor. he's done a great job, so now it's time to graduate to the "real" big boy bed. i found a platform bed at walmart that i liked and brian told me he wanted to build it himself. oakley is beyond excited about it and was such a great helper when we were working on it today. it's neat to see his eagerness to help brian. and brian is so good at letting him help, even if it does take a little longer. i'll post pictures when it's completed!
today i'm thankful for:
oakley having a wonderful time at a new church we tried. he said, "i want to go back to that church on friday!"
family nap on the couch
working together as a family to complete a project
unanswered prayers
my husband, who can fix anything and is so talented at woodworking
