well, i feel like i've fallen off the face of the blogging world. we have been so busy lately, i have not had time to sit and organize our pictures from the past few weeks, let alone, sit down and write about them. an update will be coming soon...after melissa's baby shower on saturday. i have kept myself busy planning/preparing for that. there will be pictures! i'm so excited to shower melissa with baby goodness!
i will leave you with a few funny things oakley has said, mainly because i don't want to forget them!
oakley has been really into "making us food." his imagination is really developing and it's neat to see! we were playing in his room, "fixing lunch":
oakley: "mommy, this plate is for you." (handing a book to me)
me: "oh thank you! what are we having for lunch?"
o: "tacos"
me: "ok, what's in our tacos?"
o: "umm...meat, cheese, matos, cuckamo-lee, fries, and chechup" (tomatoes, guacamole, ketchup).
YUM! :)
he also made me a "soothie" (smoothie) with green beans and strawberries in it.
in bed, after singing songs: "mommy, where is dod?" (God)
me: "God is right here, in your heart"
a couple days later: "mommy, where is dod?"
me: "do you remember where he is?"
o: "right here, in mine heart" pointing to his chest. makes this mommy melt.
in the car, at dusk. "the moon!! two moons!" (lately, he's been talking about there being two moons)
me: "one moon! and one sun!"
brian: "and no daughters!" brian and i laugh
o: "yes, there is daughters!" (totally has no clue what we were laughing at) :)
he is starting to sing songs from beginning to end, and they usually are like this:
