we are all counting down the weeks. mel is at week 31 with baby lawson in her belly. i know, you can barely see the bump in these pictures...she looks amazing! i guess when you combine skinny + tall + a long torso, you have plenty of room for a bitty baby. :)
the shower was laundry-themed. it was a lot of fun! kasey, one of mel's friends, hosted it at her beautiful home. jen, another friend of mel's, did the super cute invitations. i, along with amanda, my mom, michelle (mel's mil), kasey, and jen all picked a theme and bought clothes to hang on clotheslines. we did a brunch-time shower, with finger food. the food turned out really good. it was neat to see all of mel's friends together. some of them have been friends since high school, so they were fun to listen to...such funny girls! i was feeling a little old, being around a lot of non-mommy girls. mel is one of the first to have a baby within her circle of friends. they sure did shower her with a ton of goodies!

we decided to do an "accessory tree" instead of a diaper cake because matt had a diaper man shower that afternoon and they are in diaper overload. i love the diaper shower idea!
