backing up a little bit...we have so enjoyed fall this year. i am in awe of God's creation when i see the beautiful turning trees that fill our neighborhood. and the weather this fall has been my "florida" weather we were chasing for a bit this summer. :) it's been gorgeous! yesterday, it was 85! and at the beginning of october, it was in the 70s for a while. we have loved it. i'll just share our month in pictures, to catch up from my lack of blogging.
we went on a playdate with kelly and greyson to deanna rose. the boys had a blast and so did the mommies.
it has even been warm enough to wash the car, so we have done that a couple times this month, too. oakley
loves to be the controller of the water. yes, a little dangerous for others involved, namely, mommy. i got sprayed on more than one occasion, which oakley found amusing. he also was trying to drink out of the sprayer one time: put his mouth to to sprayer, turned on the water, sprayed himself in the face. probably not the best "mommy" thing to do, but i died laughing. it's ok, he thought it was funny, too.

we have been doing some art that is fall themed. oakley loved this one. we went on a leaf/stick hunt and made our own colorful tree. he had a lot of fun hunting, then choosing which leaves to put on his tree.

oakley has recently mastered putting together 9-12 piece puzzles. he's so proud of himself when he completes one. this one, he did with no help. what a big boy!

| look at the joy on his face! |
we went to fall in the park at leawood city park. we paid five dollars for oakley to do any/all activities they offered. they had bounce houses, huge slides, obstacle courses, hay rides, face painting and a slew of other things we didn't get to before they closed. oakley did all these things except the face painting (which he was upset about, but we got there one person too late before they closed because it was getting dark. bummer!) it was a lot of fun, though!
