the things of fall (part 2)

continued from part 1 of our october fun:
oakley has just learned how to use scissors and loves to cut up paper into little tiny pieces that take forever to clean up...but, really, i think it's neat that he is developing this new skill!

we made a trip to the apple orchard with our playdate group, too.  the apples were pretty picked through, but we got a nice bag to take home and enjoy the rest of the week.  i liked these apples because they were the perfect size for oakley to eat.  he usually can just get through half of a big apple, so these were great.  they were so sweet and delicious!
he spent most of the time eating the apples we picked
oakley's apple-picking buddy, carston

we also met our MOPS group at kc pumpkin patch, although it was pretty cold, so not many moms made the trip.  oakley and i ended up enjoying a date...just the two of us.  we had so much fun!  his favorite activities were the sand box with the tractors and the "train" pulled by a lawn mower.
the bouncy pillow

playing in the leaves is something i remember doing as a kid.  he wasn't too interested last year, so i was excited to make a pile this year.  oakley really had fun.  he liked the raking, too, which i didn't mind. :)

my favorite!

and...for the one really cold day we had (ok, so it was 50 degrees.  we were cold!!), we enjoyed hot chocolate after naptime.  oakley felt so special drinking out of the big boy mug!

sorry for the overload of pictures!  what a busy month we've had!
