cousins

these last few days, we have been hanging around the house a lot.  we've run a few errands and gone running every other day, but mostly spent our time here.  the boys are starting to get along a lot better, with the occasional "normal" sibling-type behavior like fighting over toys.  sharing is a hard thing for a two year old and one year old to grasp.  i feel like a lot of my day is spent breaking up toy fights.  oh the joys!  sometimes we let them try to let them work it out for themselves, but poor koa usually ends up crying. :(  i think koa will be happy when he can have his space back! 

on a happy note, though, they are playing nicely a lot of the time.  they have started to get into things together.  usually, the house gets really quiet and that's when we know something is up. 

yesterday, they were so cute...things got quiet, so ellen and i went to check on them and they were digging in the diaper bag, side by side.  it's sweet to see them "conspiring" together. 

today, koa left to run errands with ellen while oakley was eating lunch and oakley was so upset to see koa leave.  he misses his playmate when he's gone!  oakley also says, "go see koa" when he wakes up in the morning. 

koa was supposed to be taking a nap the other day and i heard oakley in his room.  i went in there and found both of them in koa's crib.  i was sad i didn't have my camera handy...it was so funny! 

i'm sure these cousins are going to become good buddies in the next couple years.  here are a few pictures of them monkey-ing around:
